Safety
How safe is the freeze-drying process?
Your milk is processed following strict safety protocols with temperature-controlled environments and sterile handling procedures. Your milk receives the same care I'd want for my own family.
What safety measures do you take?
Your milk is processed in sterile environments with strict temperature controls, hygiene protocols at every step, and quality checks throughout. Gloves and a mask are worn whenever your milk is handled, and all equipment is sanitized between batches to ensure its safety.
Storage & Shelf Life
How long does the freeze-dried milk last?
When stored properly in a cool, dry place in a sealed container away from light and moisture, freeze-dried breast milk maintains its nutritional quality. It is recommended for use within 3 years of processing.
How should I store the freeze-dried powder?
Store the powder in a cool, dry place, ideally in the original packaging or an airtight container. Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture. Room temperature storage is fine, but a cool pantry or cupboard is ideal.
How is the milk packaged?
Milk is typically packaged in Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers, with enough powder in each bag to reconstitute approximately 25 oz of milk. Customers may also provide Mason jars if preferred. Each package is individually labeled with reconstitution instructions specific to each batch. All packaging is sealed to preserve freshness and quality.
Reconstitution
How do I reconstitute the powder?
Simply add warm (not hot) water to the powder according to the instructions provided. You'll receive specific instructions with your order. Mix gently until fully dissolved.
Does reconstituted milk taste the same?
Yes, reconstituted freeze-dried milk should taste very similar to fresh breastmilk. The freeze-drying process preserves the natural taste and nutritional properties of your milk.
